Hey and Welcome!!!

My  name is Abbie and welcome to my site, healthy eating made easy.

The main aim of this website is to help you have a healthier lifestyle by using herbs and spices in your everyday  meals as they are packed with nutrients, vitamins and minerals. The range of active ingredients we can get from plant products  are staggering. We will also look at how you can include  more fruits and vegetable in our life style. Eating has to be enjoyable and of course nourishing to our bodies. Cook with fresh produce that provides us with ultimate flavours and goodness.

I have a small herb garden myself and I value every single herb I grow. I usually grow herbs that are perennial, having said that, I do buy ones that are annuals as well. I just love using herbs as teas and also in my meals. I think if you don’t use them enough in your meals and diets,  you should because they are good for you.  It is frequently said that one in four prescription medicines had its origin in plant compounds and extracts. Even with all the technology we have today, we still turn to plants for new ideas and inspiration.

I live in one of the most multicultural countries in the world, United Kingdom! This is a blessing as I am presented with so many variations of foods, vegetables, herbs, spices and fruits. I am always in my elements when we visit farmer’s market, or specialist food stalls usually once a month. I haven’t tried everything on this planet yet, but wouldn’t that be nice to say I had??

Food is fuel for our bodies and as such we should be tactical  in what we eat. The saying that goes like this is’ you are what you you eat is very true. As you browse through the site, you will notice a lot of fish dishes. Well.. you guess right I love fish and so, I will sharing with you some of my creations. I also like meat, poultry and game meat. I recently bought crocodile burger to try for fun. I must admit it was nice. I also had snails in France St Tropez  when we were on holiday. Not for everyone but good to try new things. So welcome to my site again and feel free to browse around.
